Large aquariums and aquarium furniture ship by freight due to their size and handling requirements.
Custom aquarium orders follow a separate process. Please see the Custom Orders section for details.
All aquarium shipments include Complimentary insurance.
If visible damage is present, the shipment must be refused, and the driver must note the damage on the bill of lading so the freight insurance claim can be processed.
If a shipment arrives damaged:

• Ensure the driver notes the damage on the bill of lading

All dry goods are backed by our 30-Day Risk-Free Satisfaction Guarantee. Try it with confidence—if it’s not right, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund, replacement, or store credit. Return shipping is included on all eligible dry goods.
Due to size and freight handling, aquariums over 25 gallons are not eligible for return shipping coverage and are not included in the risk-free return program.
Returned items must be in good condition, free from damage, excessive wear, or missing essential components. Original packaging is not required, but items must be securely packed to prevent damage during return shipping.
If your item arrives defective or develops a manufacturing issue within 30 days, we will make it right with a repair, replacement, or refund after inspection. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, modification, or accidental breakage.
Aquariums 25 gallons and under include a 30-day warranty covering manufacturing defects. All aquariums, regardless of size, are covered by a three-year warranty when purchased together with a Blue Zone Aquarium stand and properly installed.

Live Goods Policy
Due to their perishable nature, all live goods, including fish, shrimp, snails, and aquatic plants, are final sale and not eligible for return.
However, we stand behind the health and quality of everything we ship. If there is ever an issue with your order, contact us immediately and we will work with you to make it right.
l fish are quarantined for a minimum of 14 days and monitored to ensure they are healthy, active, and feeding well before shipment.
Preventative treatments are used when appropriate. Any fish that does not meet our standards is never shipped.
Shrimp and bettas are maintained in stable systems and carefully observed prior to sale.
Only healthy, properly conditioned livestock is shipped.
Shipping
All livestock ships in insulated packaging with oxygenated bags and temperature control (heat/cold packs as needed).
Live fish ship overnight only to minimize stress.
Shrimp and bettas may ship overnight or 2-Day Air, depending on your selection.
You may request a delivery day (Tuesday–Friday) in your order notes.
Flat-rate shipping — no per-fish charges. Add more livestock without increasing shipping cost.
PLANT SHIPPING & HANDLING
We take the health and quality of our aquatic plants seriously. All incoming plants are carefully inspected before being placed into our holding systems.
Plants selected for shipment are inspected again and hand-rinsed prior to packing to remove debris and reduce the likelihood of hitchhiking organisms.
Customers may choose between 1–3 Day Shipping or Express 2-Day Shipping, depending on their location and preference. Processing time and shipping day may vary depending on order volume, destination distance, weather conditions, and carrier schedules.
While we closely monitor our holding systems and inspect all incoming and outgoing plants, we cannot guarantee plants will be completely pest-free. Aquatic plants are living organisms and small organisms such as snails, algae, or microscopic life may occasionally be present. The only way to ensure completely pest-free plants is through laboratory tissue culture propagation.
That said, we make every effort to maintain clean holding systems and to ship healthy, well-maintained plants that have been carefully inspected prior to shipment.

All plant orders are covered by our Arrive Safe Guarantee. We carefully inspect, prepare, and pack every order to ensure plants arrive healthy and in good condition.
Our goal is always to ensure your plants arrive safely and in the best possible condition. We closely monitor weather and transit conditions and may delay shipments if temperatures or shipping conditions appear unsafe. If conditions are not suitable for safe transit, we will hold your order and ship at the next safe opportunity rather than risk damage to live plants.
For sensitive or high-value plant orders, or during periods of extreme heat or cold, we strongly recommend selecting Express 2-Day Shipping to minimize transit time and reduce the risk of weather-related stress.
Receiving & Acclimating Fish, Crustaceans & Plants

• Turn off aquarium lights to reduce stress
• Float the sealed bag in your aquarium for 15–20 minutes to equalize temperature
Recommended Method (Fish)
Carefully pour off most of the shipping water, leaving just enough to support the fish. Gently release the remaining water and fish into the aquarium.
This minimizes the amount of shipping water entering your tank while avoiding unnecessary handling.
Alternative Method
You may transfer fish using a net or smooth colander over a bucket to avoid adding any shipping water.
Use caution with nets. Species such as Corydoras and plecos can become caught in netting and may be injured.
Do not use a colander for small crustaceans.
Crustacean Acclimation (Optional Drip Method)
For sensitive shrimp and other crustaceans:
• After temperature acclimation, place them in a container with shipping water
• Use airline tubing a pipette or baster to drip aquarium water at 2–4 drops per second
• Acclimate for 30–60 minutes
• Pour the contents through a net into a bucket or sink, then gently release the crustaceans from the net into the aquarium
After Introduction
Keep lights dim or off for several hours. Livestock may appear pale or inactive after shipping—this is normal and typically improves within a few hours.
Some species may take a few days to begin feeding. This is normal. Avoid overfeeding or reacting with unnecessary medication. Fish can easily go up to a week without food.

Feeding
Our fish are fed quality dry foods along with frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp. Offering similar foods can help new arrivals begin feeding more quickly.
Live Plants
Plants may appear slightly compressed after shipping. This is normal.

• Remove any damaged leaves
• Plant as usual
Most plants return to normal shape within 24–48 hours under proper conditions.
