Species Background

Cory Wotroi refers to a distinct wild Corydoras population identified by the CW27 designation. CW numbers are used for recognized wild forms that have not yet been formally described as separate species. This population originates from Colombia, inhabiting slow-moving tributaries and floodplain waterways with soft substrates, leaf litter, and moderate vegetation. These fish are known for their noticeably high dorsal fin, which gives them a taller, more pronounced profile than many commonly traded Corydoras.

Behavior and Temperament

Peaceful, social, and bottom-oriented. Cory Wotroi should be kept in groups, where they display natural schooling and continuous foraging behavior. Completely non-aggressive and well suited to calm community aquariums.
