Species Background

Glo Pristella Tetras are fluorescent color variants developed from the X-ray Tetra lineage. These fish are fully tank-bred and maintain the hardy, adaptable nature of traditional Pristella tetras while displaying vibrant fluorescent coloration that intensifies under blue lighting.

They trace back to South American tetra ancestry and are well suited to stable community aquariums.

Behavior and Temperament

Peaceful, schooling midwater fish.

They should be kept in groups of at least 6, with 8–12 recommended for natural schooling behavior and stronger visual impact. They are active but non-aggressive and mix well in balanced community tanks.

They occupy the middle water column and provide constant motion.

Adults typically reach 1.75–2 inches.

Water Parameters

Temperature: 72–80°F
