Anubias Coffeefolia

Anubias Coffeefolia (Anubias barteri var. coffeefolia) is a hardy rhizome aquarium plant known for its heavily textured leaves, deep green coloration, and distinctive rippled appearance. The leaf veins and corrugated surface give it a bold, almost tropical look that stands out against smoother-leaf plants in planted aquariums. Its compact but sturdy growth makes it especially popular in natural aquascapes, driftwood layouts, shrimp tanks, and betta aquariums.

This plant is most commonly attached to driftwood, stone, or aquarium decor where its thick leaves create structure, cover, and visual contrast. Anubias Coffeefolia works extremely well in midground placements and low-tech aquariums because it tolerates lower light levels and does not require CO2 injection to thrive.
