Introduction

The BZA Igarapé is a compact 5-liter stainless steel canister filter designed for freshwater aquariums where quiet operation, adjustable flow, and flexible plumbing are priorities. It is well suited for planted tanks, shrimp systems, and smaller display aquariums that require stable biological filtration without oversized hardware.

The included 10 W DC pump features a 20-speed wired controller, allowing flow to be tuned precisely to the aquarium. This wide adjustment range makes the Igarapé adaptable across a variety of layouts, from calm breeding tanks to higher-energy planted systems.

The Igarapé uses a single open-chamber design rather than restrictive stacked trays. This improves water movement through media, increases usable filtration volume, and simplifies maintenance.

In regular use, the system is quiet, reliable, and consistent over long service intervals. For shrimp tanks or systems with small livestock, an intake sponge is recommended.
