Amano shrimp are active freshwater shrimp prized for their ability to graze on hair algae, biofilm, and leftover food. They spend much of the day foraging across plants, wood, rocks, and substrate, making them a useful addition to established planted aquariums.

Their translucent body and fine dotted markings give them a natural appearance that blends beautifully into an aquascape. Amano shrimp are hardworking, enjoyable to watch, and an excellent choice for a peaceful aquarium cleanup crew.
