API Aquarium Salt is a natural freshwater aquarium treatment made from evaporated seawater. It supplies essential electrolytes that support healthy gill function, help fish maintain their internal salt balance, and reduce stress during aquarium setup, water changes, or recovery from illness.

Suitable for freshwater aquarium use when salt treatment is appropriate, API Aquarium Salt can provide additional support alongside compatible fish medications. The 16 oz package treats up to 107 gallons at the manufacturer's standard dosage.

Directions: Add 1 rounded tablespoon per 5 gallons of aquarium water.

Important: Salt does not evaporate or get removed by filtration. When replacing water, dose only the replacement water as needed. Some fish, plants, and invertebrates are salt-sensitive. Not intended for mixing marine saltwater.
