Assorted Mystery Snails are colorful, peaceful freshwater snails that bring both visual interest and natural grazing behavior to the aquarium. This assortment may include a variety of shell and body colors, making each snail a unique addition to a peaceful freshwater community.

Mystery Snails sold in the aquarium trade are commonly *Pomacea diffusa*, also widely referred to under the older name *Pomacea bridgesii*. Native to South America, these snails spend much of their time exploring aquarium surfaces and grazing on algae, biofilm, and available foods.

Mystery Snails are peaceful and generally compatible with community fish that will not harass or eat them. They appreciate stable water conditions with sufficient minerals to support healthy shell development. Avoid keeping them with aggressive snail-eating species.

They are omnivorous grazers and should receive a varied diet rather than relying solely on naturally occurring aquarium algae. Quality sinking foods, algae wafers, and vegetables can provide appropriate nutrition.
