Limnophila Aromatica

Limnophila Aromatica is a colorful stem plant with slender, textured leaves that can develop shades of green, bronze, red, and purple under strong lighting. The foliage is distinctly aromatic when crushed or handled, giving off a fresh herbal scent that inspired the plant’s name.

Outside the aquarium hobby, this species is used as an aromatic culinary herb in Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnamese cooking, where it is commonly known as rau om or ngò om. In the aquarium, it forms attractive upright groups and responds well to trimming, making it an excellent choice for adding height, texture, and rich color.
