Red Empress Cichlid

Red Empress Cichlids undergo a dramatic transformation as they mature. Juveniles and females typically show silver-beige coloration with a dark horizontal stripe, while mature males develop brilliant blue, orange, and red coloration across the body and fins.

Their active swimming style, substantial body shape, and increasingly vivid adult coloration make them an impressive fish for a larger African cichlid display.
