Overview
The BZA Orinoco is a 10-liter stainless steel canister filter designed for freshwater and planted aquariums where flow control, quiet operation, and high media capacity matter.
It shares the same open-chamber format as the 5L Igarapé model—eliminating stacked trays in favor of simplicity, full media flexibility, and maximum usable volume.

DC Pump and Controller
Includes an 18W DC pump with:
• 20-speed wired controller
• Wave-making mode
• 10-minute feeding pause
• Quiet operation suitable for CO₂ systems or heavy bioloads
• Long cables for convenient controller mounting inside or outside the stand

Fish-Scale Welded Construction
Each Orinoco canister is sealed using food-grade fish-scale welds, the same technique used in commercial water systems and stainless storage tanks.
This process ensures:
• No plastic seams or adhesives
• Smooth, corrosion-resistant interior
• Long-term pressure resistance and leak-free reliability

Included Internal Media Layout (Top to Bottom)

• Open flow space below the outlet for unrestricted circulation
• Four reusable media bags pre-filled with biomedia
• One Flexpure biofilter brick used for biological filtration
• Coarse foam filter pad for mechanical pre-filtration at the intake

The coarse foam pad is positioned at the bottom of the canister so debris is captured before it reaches the biological media above. This protects the biofilter brick and bagged biomedia from clogging and compaction, preserving oxygen flow and long-term bacterial efficiency.
