Cryptocoryne Lutea ‘Hobbit’ (Cryptocoryne walkeri ‘Hobbit’) is a cultivated dwarf form of a Cryptocoryne species native to tropical Sri Lanka, where the base species grows around streams, wetlands, and seasonally flooded areas.

This compact plant forms small rosettes of narrow green leaves and gradually spreads through underground runners. Its short growth makes it especially useful in the foreground, where several plants can eventually create a natural low-growing group without requiring frequent trimming.

Cryptocoryne Lutea ‘Hobbit’ grows well in low-tech aquariums under low to moderate light, and added CO2 is optional. It benefits from nutrients around its roots and provides attractive cover and grazing surfaces for shrimp, fry, and small fish.
