Black Dragon Fighter Plakat Betta (Betta splendens) is a selectively bred form of the Southeast Asian Siamese fighting fish, whose wild relatives inhabit shallow wetlands, rice paddies, floodplains, and slow-moving waterways throughout Thailand and neighboring regions. These environments are typically warm, heavily vegetated, and naturally low in water movement.

This variety combines a deep black body with metallic dragon-style scaling concentrated across the head and upper body. The plakat form features shorter, stronger fins than long-finned bettas, producing a compact profile with powerful swimming ability and a pronounced fighter-type appearance.
