Gold White Cloud Minnows (Tanichthys albonubes) are a gold color form of the White Cloud Mountain Minnow, a small freshwater cyprinid originally associated with southern China. Wild-type White Clouds come from cool, clear streams and vegetated mountain waterways with moderate flow and rocky or planted edges.

The gold form has a pale golden body, bright lateral striping, red accents in the fins, and the same streamlined shape that makes White Clouds active open-water swimmers. Their small adult size, schooling behavior, and steady movement make them especially useful in planted aquariums with both cover and open swimming space.

Gold White Cloud Minnows are peaceful community fish that show best in groups, where their color and social movement are easier to see. This bred form keeps the hardy, active nature of the White Cloud Mountain Minnow while adding a brighter gold appearance for display aquariums.
