Koi Tuxedo Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) is a selectively bred freshwater livebearer descended from wild guppies native to northeastern South America and nearby Caribbean islands, including Trinidad. In nature, guppies inhabit warm streams, ponds, drainage channels, and slow-moving waters with vegetation, open swimming areas, and steady access to small foods.

This male fancy guppy line is bred for a koi-style head and body pattern paired with darker tuxedo coloration through the rear portion of the fish. Males stay smaller and more colorful than females, with flowing fins, active display behavior, and bright pattern contrast developed through aquarium breeding rather than wild form.

Koi Tuxedo Guppies are active upper-level community fish that add constant movement and color to peaceful aquariums. This bred form is best appreciated in planted or structured tanks where males can display naturally while still having room to swim.
